“Diego Vargas gave us excellent service over a long period in which the conversion of part of our house was in train. We had bought a 1930s villa which had been extended to include an integral garage with bedrooms above. We wanted to convert this garage and also to open up the porch, and make the front of the house lighter. Diego provided good designs, and the outcome has been very satisfactory. He was reliable, precise, patient, skilled, professional, and always decent to deal with. The road to getting permission to build was long and fraught, but this was the fault of Oxford Council, who had supplied incomplete details to our conveyancing lawyer. The Council failed to disclose a condition stating that the existing integral garage could not be converted to living accommodation without express permission. Three applications to build had to be submitted, and later there were some problems obtaining a builder and the usual delays and problems with the builder. During all of these problems Diego Vargas was a patient supporter”.
