On Track for Successful Project Completion for Client in Singapore
The new year brought the contractor to site for the start on the internal alterations and general renovations of one of our latest domestic jobs in Shipton-under-Wychwood, Oxfordshire. The house is owned by international clients currently living in Singapore. The contractors are now halfway through, and well on the way to successfully completing on time for the client’s exciting move back to the UK and into their new home this coming June. We are carrying out contract management duties and preparing weekly reports to keep our long-distance clients well informed and in the know of any eventualities so far.
Reinforcing relationship with second appointment for commercial client
We are thrilled to have been appointed for our second job with client Hungry Caterpillars Day Nurseries Ltd.
Having successfully completed the refurbishment/conversion of their latest location at Chalfont St Peter, we are now working on a fit-out job for their newest location at Handy Cross -Phase 5, High Wycombe. This is to be within the yet to be built, contemporary new building by rma architects for Wycombe District Council.
Loft Conversion Gets Under Way
A perfect sunny day gives way to the first site visit on our loft conversion job at Southdale Rd, North Oxford. Contractors Clangalah Construction Ltd are now in charge of delivering construction. We will be keeping track of progress over the next 12 weeks.
Replacement Dwelling Planning Consent Secured
We have just secured full planning consent from the Vale of White Horse District Council on behalf of our client for a brand new four bedroom dwelling in the historic town of Sutton Courtenay, Oxon. We will continue providing professional services for the detail design and construction stages, until the completion of the new property.
New Membership
Diego is now a member of the Association for Project Safety in order to strengthen the implementation of health and safety on projects at pre-construction phase, but also to help more actively contractors on site at construction stage.
This, in turn with the Principal Designer role we now offer to our clients as integral part of our holistic services…Safety first!
Commercial projects too
We are very pleased to announce our appointment as lead designer for the conversion of the old Phoenix pub at Chalfont St Peter, Bucks. Strategically located on the High Street, it has now been granted change of use by the local planning office to become the Hungry Caterpillar Day Nurseries newest location -One more of a very successful children nurseries locations across west London and now Bucks too. We are delivering services from planning stage, through detail design, tender and beyond. Looking forward to letting the children in!
Order of the City of Pitalito
Diego has just returned from a trip to Colombia to see family over Christmas and New Year. Whilst in his home town, Pitalito he was invited to the opening ceremony of the theatre in the new Art Centre. During his speech The Mayor of Pitalito awarded Diego with the ‘Orden Ciudad de Pitalito’. This is a medal only given to the most prominent personalities and figures of the town. Diego is hugely honoured by this unexpected recognition of his work in designing the Art Centre, which has been a labour of love since its initial conception 15 years ago to its completion on 28th December 2015.
The Art Centre is now officially called ‘Centro Cultural Hector Polania Sanchez’ named after the late politician who promoted Art and Culture in this region.
The building, like no other in the town and Southern region, will be the centre for arts and culture and will be giving present and future generations of ‘Laboyanos’ (inhabitants of Pitalito city and valley) a solid platform from which to express their artistic interest, and also gather to share and learn new ones.
The local Council and their representatives complimented Diego on the rich architectural integrity and elegant design of the completed building which is already providing a versatile space for artists to express their work and talent. Even more poignant for Diego as he comes from a family of artists, most of whom still live and work locally.

Finalmente y después de una década de espera, nuestro proyecto para el Centro Cultural Surcolombiano en Pitalito (Colombia) ha sido licitado a nivel nacional por el Ministerio de Cultura en Bogotá DC. (licitación publica No. MC LP 016 2013)
Esperamos que los grandes beneficios de un proyecto como este se puedan ver en el futuro próximo. La obra se espera pueda estar concluida para Finales de 2015.
